Resumen
This study aimed to investigate the scientific production of Brazilian nursing about
biosecurity in nursing from an integrative literature review, held in databases
Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Latin American and Caribbean
Center on Health Sciences (Lilacs). The study included 15 articles. It was found that
the articles analyzed, 20% (three) focused on the historical review of developments
in knowledge and practices of isolation / precautions, 20% (three) accidents that
occurred between health professionals, 13% (two) the concept and practice of
nursing technicians, 13% (two) biosecurity measures, 13% (two) vaccination and
biosecurity measures against hepatitis B, 13% (two) accidents with biological material
with undergraduate students and 8% (one ) professionals who work at the Family
Health Strategy. Findings showed that the number of publications produced by
nurses about biosafety in nursing is still very limited and can be explored with further
studies. It should be noted there is need for training courses and continuing
education addressing biosecurity measures for the prevention of contamination,
elimination or reduction of risks related to labor activities found in the workplace.
