dc.description.abstractThe aim of this paper is to research the conceptions and practices of teachers who work with children in their first years at school considering the affection and the dialogue. They are inseparable of learning and growth of human beings. It needs involving, serious teaching, as well as the right and obligation of listening and saying a word with love. The teaching with affection and dialogue is a challenge for education which “people help people to learn and to be people”. So, this paper uses the writings of Paulo Freire, Maturana, Arroyo and others authors who know education like a humanitarian process. For this, I interwiewed teachers from public schools of Santa Maria. The results made possible to know that the conceptions and teachings sometimes have considered the affection and dialogue something important for education. However, there is still a separation among affection and learning, which shows that many times teachers do not know why, what for, or who for are teaching and how important is it for education. It is necessary a continued graduation that makes thoughts about teaching to rebuild and to share more knowledge.
