A religião como elemento de integração e apoio social

Abstract

Religions allow man to relate to the sacred, while generating community identification and greater understanding, adjustment and transformation of the reality in which he lives. Based on these facts, the present study aims to analyze how, in its diversity of forms, religion acts as an element of integration and social support, contributing to overcoming and solving everyday problems. Based on a bibliographic research, it was concluded that religion has an important social function, acting in the identification and sense of belonging of the person to a group, at the same time that it forms social and listening networks that strengthen and support its believers in the resolution of problems.
