dc.description.abstractThe study aimed to make an analysis, through bibliographic review, on the biological agents of paper deterioration and the importance of conserving / preserving the support. To conduct this study, it was necessary to elaborate a bibliographic review on the main biological agents of paper deterioration, their ways of acting, prevention, a brief summary on the history of the paper, and a chapter on the relevance of conserving / preserving paper support. Afterwards, a questionnaire was prepared to obtain detailed information about the conditions in which the Sectorial Archive of the CCSH of UFSM, is found in relation to the preservation measures and the biological agents of paper deterioration. And finally, we have the results chapter and the main conclusions on the subject.
