dc.description.abstractThe National School Feeding Programme (PNAE) has among its objectives to contribute to the overcoming of the low-income and reducing truancy, being very relevant because it represents access to the food needed for growth and student learning. It also provides the possibility of rescue local habits and customs, important ethnic identity of the population, in addition, resources for the purchase of school meals may pose to the community a chance to income and sustainable development, for managing the form of resources Participatory can lead to the construction of a new rationality in the use of local natural resources. The power policy in Brazil is a case of compensatory action which aims to provide resources for this need can be met, it encompasses various social programs, among these programs, the PNAE is noteworthy for its historic character and for its coverage nationwide. In the midst of these discussions is that the work has the following research topic the PNAE, in Tupanciretã/RS municipality, and takes care to understand and contribute to the advancement and consolidation of the same as one of the main Brazilian public policy.
