dc.description.abstractA subject rarely explored and represented by media products, and that maybe present in the lives of several teenagers is asexuality. There is a dearth of representation of this community. In order to demonstrate that it’s possible to write narratives who address this theme, the present experimental project aims, through a narrative in the form of fanfiction, to produce an asexual representation. Thus, the report brings a theoretical rescue, along with research conducted through a questionnaire, applied to the target audience of the product, seeking to analyze what is needed to constitute an appropriate representation of the asexual community. So that the information about this sexual orientation present in the narrative constructed in fanfiction format allows the reader who has no knowledge of the subject to understand, while those who identify themselves as asexual can recognize their community in the narrative. The formulation of fanfiction is supported by the book by Luiz Antonio Assis Brasil (2019) while for a better understanding of the concepts approached it is used as a reference the conceptualization of representation by Stuart Hall (2016) and fanfiction by Henry Jenkins (2009). Therefore, through the theoretical contribution and the methodological tool and analysis of the answers, it was possible to create a creative narrative that addresses an asexual representation. In this case, titled I Prefer Cake, referring to a term used by this community. The project explains why
