dc.description.abstract | OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study is to list, identify and analyze, through a literature review the publications related to the themes: school physical education, childhood obesity and lifestyle. METHOD: A search was conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL - Brazil), MEDLINE, and SciELO, with the descriptors "school physical education", "childhood obesity" and "lifestyle" selecting full articles available in full and online , published from 2009 to 2019 and in the Portuguese language. RESULTS: As a first step articles were selected in MEDLINE (N = 0), LILACS (N= 9) and SciELO (N = 4) databases, totaling 13 articles, soon after using the inclusion criteria of the study were excluded 11 articles, listing two selected articles that contemplated the descriptors of the study. It was possible to identify that one of the articles sought to identify the levels of sedentary lifestyle and hours of rest and practice in children, the other article brings an alternative through an Exergame for changing the attitudes and habits of children with obesity. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that the selected studies bring in their results concerns regarding childhood obesity. It was observed that while one shows the reality of sedentary lifestyle in children and consequently childhood obesity the other shows an alternative, through motivation to practice physical activity through a technological resource. It is considered a positive factor to have found these two studies even though they had no direct link with school physical education, however, showing indirectly the importance and influence of physical education in school, of being practiced by all and of being aggregated for life. | |
