The purpose of this paper is to analyze the financial indexes of Mercur after its change of corporate stance compared to companies listed in the ISE portfolio. This is the set of companies that have been continuously in the period from 2010 to 2017 in such portfolio, indicative of a broader range of strategic concerns, including socio- environmental issues. The results were developed by means of indicators of the analysis of the financial statements, and the comparison between the companies was made by the Kruskal-Wallis test. The main results indicate that the company did not show growth in the period in sales, but in its assets, supported by equity, resulting in reduction of indebtedness, as well as continuous growth in liquidity levels. However, the economic results show regularity in the levels of margin and fall in the rates of return. When compared to other companies, Mercur is positively differentiated in terms of indebtedness, liquidity and ROA, and it is not possible to distinguish it from the others in terms of profit margin and ROE. The results allow us to conclude that it is feasible financially to make investments in the socio-environmental aspect and to obtain financial returns, and to maintain financial sustainability. Such findings contribute to Mercur's assessment of its financial indicators, compared to large public companies. It also contributes to the discussion of sustainability in a broad way, built on a social, environmental and economic tripod, bringing an example of how a strategic change with a bias towards the first two, does not make the last point unfeasible
