dc.description.abstractThe aim of this article is to present specific characteristics of High Abilities/Giftedness and of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in order to set up some ideas of approximation and detachment about those two conditions or themes, so as to display a source of information for professionals who work on the identification of those conditions, as well as on the assistance to those subjects. Thus, a bibliographic study was carried out, approaching several authors who write about such matters. After a brief explanation of the behavioral features of those subjects, they were compared and discussed. Such discussion evidences that there are behaviors that are similar in their peculiarities and others that help concerning the distinction between those two situations. The information presented in this study intends to minimize some factors related to confusions regarding the evaluation and diagnosis of such subjects.
