dc.description.abstract | The analysis of the efficiency of the effluent treatment systems from automotive mechanics is important to determine the correct type of treatment to be used, in order to avoid possible contamination to the receiving bodies. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of the main types of effluent treatment in automotive mechanics, as well as to make the proper characterization of the raw effluent. The methodology used to carry out this work consisted of a bibliographic review of 5 articles, found in the databases of Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), BDTD (Brazilian Digital Library of Theses) and Dissertations) and Google Escolar. Thus, from the analyzes performed, it was found that the effluents from automotive mechanics have high levels of parameters such as oils and greases, and COD, highlighting the importance of adequate treatment. It was also possible to verify that physical treatments are less efficient, compared to more complete treatments, such as physical-chemical ones. In addition, the biological treatment was discarded due to the low biodegradability that the effluent presents. | |
