This work presents a simulated model of a rectifier with adjustable efficiency for wireless
power transfer systems. The adjustment is possible through a control block that, by the
combination of 3 differential drive rectifiers, is able to change the power transmission efficiency
for a constant output load. In addition, a differential drive rectifier design methodology
is presented, in which the rectifier dimensioning is done through graphical analysis based
on the rectifier input amplitude and the output current on the load. The proposed adjustable
rectifier is designed using GlobalFoundries 130 nm technology process and operates at a
frequency of 1 GHz supplying a 20KΩ load. It has 3 adjustment settings where it is possible
to obtain a plateau of efficiencies greater than 60% when the input amplitude is greater than
450mV .
