In game development area, very few changes have been made in combat on game
genres. This lack of changes is the reason many actual games are based on methods
created over a decade ago. This paper proposes a new combat method for games in action
and RPG style in a multiplayer cenario. By using the Unreal Development Kit and Unreal
Engine, developers will be capable of creating a variety of abilities and weapons based
on the proposed method for a more realistic approach in games. This paper also presents
a system either single-player and multiplayer with a prototype of abilities which players
can use to inflict damage and other effects on game elements. This system may serve as
base or example for future development in the area.
