Análise da curva de Kuznets para o estado do Rio Grande do Sul (1976 a 2013)

Abstract

This paper analyzes the relationship between economic growth and inequality in income distribution, with the purpose of evaluating for the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Kuznets hypothesis (1955) validity, its alleges that the inequality, in the first stages of growth, increases and it reaches a peak, after that inequality decreases. It was possible to verify empirically using an econometric model with time series AR (1) that the standard proposed by Kuznets applies to the State no period from 1976 to 2013.
