Resumen
This work has been written for inquire how students of elementary and middle school are relating interpretations of mathematical problems (in this case involving linear systems topics) with the language of numbers, the symbolic language and its difficulties in solving them. Does their difficulties are only matter of interpreting the problems and for this reason they can not transpose the common language to the language of numbers? Could it be that your difficulties are only in the matter of resolving them? After analyzing the results of investigations carried out, it was found that most students have difficulty in the development of the problems due to gaps in the interpretation of requests and translation of their knowledge of common language for the symbolic, causing some math concepts become complex and the math discipline to be understood as a major problem in the education of students. The experiences of applications in both schools did not constitute the end point of this work, since these applications have a reduced time available for schools (only two periods) in both surveys. In order to obtain a more accurate assessment, this work will be continued in a future master course.
