O GeoGebra e o estudo do ciclo trigonométrico e das funções seno e cosseno: possibilidades para o ensino de matemática no ensino médio

In order to observe the benefits that the use of Geogebra software may bring to the teaching
and learning process of the Trigonometric Circle and the graphics of Sine and Cosine
Functions to High School students. This monograph presents an alternative didactic for the
study of those topics, seeking a way to smooth the comprehension of the subjects using
interactivity. The constructions made using the software aim to promote the understanding of
“what happens” inside the Trigonometric Circle and the graphics of Sine and Cosine
Functions when the value of the angle is changed. For this analysis, a two-hour class planning
was created, contucted at the Tancredo Neves State School, in the city of Santa Maria (RS).
The class took place during the normal study period of the students. The official teacher
kindly gave her class periods so that the project could be executed. The students actively
participated in the class. At the end of the activity, I was sure that the use of ICT (Information
and Communications Technologies) as technique inside the classroom can be the differential
needed to an effective building of knowledge. The interaction helps the enlightenment of the
concepts to the student’s eye, considering that the mere observation of the textbook may not
be enough to complete comprehension.
