Abstract

With the need for industrial machines to improve production quality and productivity, extend equipment and parts life, and optimize time, implementing a preventive maintenance management system comes as a strategy to plan machine downtime and avoid Unexpected breakages. This search is related to the competitiveness among the companies, which aim to build a better quality product with low production cost, obtaining a higher profit. But to continue producing on a large scale it is necessary to carry out maintenance on industrial equipment. This work aims to develop a systematic in maintenance management focusing on preventive maintenance. In this way, it will be carried out through a study in the literature related to industrial management, followed by a survey of the number of corrective maintenance work orders and an analysis of the maintenance cost to identify the critical machines in order to develop a systematic of maintenance. As a result, it was possible to generate preventive maintenance plans for five types of machines and their application allowed the management of activities. Implementing a preventive maintenance management system allowed us to verify that this is a good strategy to follow as it portrays a higher quality and productive service, as well as increased machine reliability.
