This study focuses the role of the symbols in the educational and religious process.The study aimed to analyze the contribuitio os the elements that make up the religious phenomenon, form the narrative, os a Hight School teacher valuing the pluralism and the diversity present in the society. The specific objectives are identifying the meaning of the religious symbols, such as their High School students relationship with the religious experience.. recognizing the diversities there are in the schooland the manner how the students experience them. To this end a research was carried out based on the qualitative and autobiographical approach, because it requires rigor in understanding, because there is a need to expand senses, which doesn't mean rigidity and inflexibility who imagines in the universe os sociala subjects. The information for this research were collected through a narrative interview by a Religious Teaching Discipline Teacher at a school in the country area of Agudo /RS. This research contemplates and experiences objectives and private training as a teacher, because the trajectory of the work told by the teacher revealed knowledge and experiences that are present in the school routine and in the interviewee's life, as well as, contributions to the history of those who fight for a quality public education.
