dc.description.abstractThe present work has as its theme the exploitation of child labor in our country, highlighting domestic child labor, which is that developed inside homes. The objective of the work is to show the exploitation of child labor and its consequences for children as well as the analysis of the IBGE statistical data. The methodology used was the qualitative, comparative, historical and monographic method, as well as documentary and bibliographic research technique. In the first moment, he talks about the historical context of child labor in Brazil, then in the second topic about domestic child labor and gender inequality, and finally, he analyzed the statistical data on children in child labor situations that resulted in children of both sexes, being the most exploited children, the male, and as for the race, it was the black or brown child, and still, almost half of the total of these exploited children and adolescents performed dangerous jobs that may cause health and physical integrity.
