There is a growing number of elderly people nowadays, and it is causing an increasing number of people suffering from chronic degenerative diseases. A number of people live alone or prefer to stay at home rather than facing queues or even to stay more comfortably. Aiming to address these patients, homecare systems are in evidence, where the patient receives treatment or clinical care at home. This project presents an Android application that acts with pervasive systems applied on homecare systems, in order to help the patient’s assistant by monitoring vital signals from the patient. The parameters of these signals are defined by the health professional responsible for the patient.
