dc.description.abstractThis paper refers to a research in the area of the surface design, having as its theme the creations of fashion designer Coco Chanel, applied in textile design. Chanel revolutionized the history of fashion by making woman let go of uncomfortable clothes of the Belle Epoque, creating classical items for women's fashion, since the '20s. This search retrieves the context of Chanel by allowing creation and interpretation, where the topic is a rich field of possibilities on creating design for stamping. Based on the references, were created draws with floral and geometric themes, with digital printing and manual screen printing. The products in which these prints were applied were textile jewelry, integrating a new market trend. Eleven patterns were created and applied in different thirteen textiles jewels.Had as theoretical reference in design the author Lobach (1976), in the area of surface design Ruthschilling (2009) and as a projectual methodology was used Bonsiepe (1984).
