Resumen
The present Course Completion Paper (TCC) of the Degree in Theater of the Federal
University of Santa Maria (UFSM) developed a field research on the use of Theater
Games in the theatrical initiation of Arts in a first year high school class. A state school
in the city of Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul. The interest in such practices was due
to being an efficient theatrical learning process, presented by different researchers who
were referential to us: Andrade (2006), Camelo (2015), Fabi (2013) and Faria (2002),
which through research and methodologies developed for this target audience, allowed
working with the content Theater Games in formal teaching environments. The
importance of authors dealing with the Theatrical Games was noted: Ricardo Ottoni
Vaz Japiassu, Olga Garcia Reverbel, Augusto Pinto Boal and Viola Spolin. It was
decided to base the methodology of these internship classes on the works of Japiassu
(2008) and Spolin (2008) for the pedagogical practice. Field research was carried out
with careful observation of the class and its behavior in the school environment,
recording data and information in notebooks and diaries, as well as considering the
production of protocols and questionnaires by the students. From the analysis of this
material, based on the theoretical foundation, the interpretation of this information was
made. It was concluded that theatrical practices began to be part of the repertoire of
adolescents, to the point of organizing the space of the room, before class, proposing
some resignification to the place. This investigation provided the connection with
spontaneity, improvisation, the breaking of isolation, and the confrontation of ideas.
