Resumen
Due to the competitive market, it is essential for organizations to have increasingly efficient quality management, aiming for well aligned processes to better serve their customers. These processes include external and internal processes. For internal processes, rework is seen as an opportunity for improvement as it is not serving the customer with the expected quality and the product and/or service needs to go through the process again. So, the goal of this study is to investigate which aspects interfere with the process of entering goods in order to generate rework in the areas involved in this process. This objective is suggested, since reworking when it comes to modifying the material's registry may have an impact on problems or process truncation in more than one area of the company, thus justifying the need for research. The study is of the qualitative type, identified quality tools that can help to define and to deal with the reasons for the effect. The data to measure the rework was made available by the company through reports from the internal system and data collections with sectors involved in the process. The causes of reworking and a possible way of reducing it have been identified. Using Poka Yoke quality tools in the flow of indirect merchandise, several reasons for the effect would be remedied.
