This study aimed to analyze the discipline of physical education organized in cycles of training in a field school in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The study was qualitative slant using the documental analysis as a data collection instrument this end, the documents reviewed were the school Pedagogical political project and the study plan of the discipline of physical education. Within the results analyzed the content, assessment procedures and identified the goals of physical education to the field school organized in the training courses. Physical education, while curricular discipline required, being organized for the training courses, presented a curricular structure planned according to the age and characteristics of the students. Based on the analysis of the three cycles similar content were the games that was present in the curricular Proposal of three cycles and the contents differed were the dance that is not present in the proposal of the cycle I, only in Cycle II and III, another aspect to highlight is the strong culture sportsman at school, in which individual and collective sports evident.
