A relação entre liberdade econômica e nível de bem-estar

Abstract

This work studies the relation between economic freedom of countries, measured of the government interventionism level, and thy growth and economic development. Through the analysis of this relation it is tried to understand witch type of government, more interventionist or not, presents the best results. To analyze how free each country is, it was used the Economic Freedom Index calculated by Heritage Foundation, and to analyze the economic growth, it was used the GDP per capta of the countries, and to analyze the economic development it was used the Human Development Index. It took place one qualitative analysis, seeking evidences of economic freedom at the development and growth of nations.
