Abstract

This Undergraduate Thesis is a bibliographical and documentary research, analyzing articles, monographs, dissertations, theses and books on the central theme, within the field of Social Work, as well as documents that may involve fields that have some connection with housing policy, such as Architecture and Economics. It uses the critical-dialectical theory to understand and analyze the movement of social reality in the scope of housing, and its influences on everyday life. This research has as main objective to analyze how the housing policy was instituted in the Brazilian scenario and how it is in confluence with the market, and consequently its financialization. In addition, it aims to expand knowledge about the human right to housing within the field of Social Work, to look beyond the performance, analyzing its historical context and formation of housing as an expression of the social issue. For this, it will be discussed during the research, the historical construction along with the main Brazilian and world legislation, as well as important milestones during its construction. As a result of this research, the market influence on housing policy was analyzed, passing through the contextualization of capitalist doctrines in the Brazilian scenario, as well as the main governments that exerted influence on housing policy. The performance of Social Work professionals in this socio-occupational field was analyzed, as well as its importance. As a result, we obtained the analysis of the amount of documents published in Social Service magazines with qualis A1 and A2 related to housing, highlighting the need for a greater look, and research for this policy, since it is still a relatively new policy for the Service.
