dc.description.abstractFintech are Startups-type organizations that provide innovative financial services enabled by Information Technology (Zavolokina et al., 2016). These new businesses have attracted billions in investment around the world and led the Fintechs universe to grow exponentially. In this sense, the present research sought to investigate the model and innovation strategies of the Fintechs business model in Rio Grande do Sul, as well as the innovation strategies found in the study of Caria (2017) - data monetization, customer-centric focus and ecosystem. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative approach was adopted through semi-structured interviews with managers, clients and participants of the ecosystem of the four Fintechs of Rio Grande do Sul. The collection instrument was constructed based on several authors, the main ones being Osterwalder and Pigneur (2010) and Caria (2017). The main results show the elements of each organization's business model framework. In addition, it was possible to verify through the analysis of interviews and documents that there are four innovative strategies of the Fintechs business model studied in the present work. The strategies that have emerged are: democratization of financial services, transparency, focus on underserved segments and intuitive platforms. As a suggestion of future research, it is suggested the elaboration of studies on the innovation strategies of the business model found in the work. In addition, can increase the number of organizations studied and replicate this study in Fintechs from other Brazilian states, with different methodological approaches.
