dc.description.abstract | Greenhouses are a method to create a protected environment for growing flowers, fruits and vegetables. They are designed so that plants can grow without any influence of external agents, for example, heat or cold. It is known that excess heat and humidity as well as excess cold can damage the development of cultivation. The protected environment of a greenhouse has the potential to control temperature, air humidity, light intensity, wind, soil and atmospheric composition. In this case, the greenhouse acts as a separate ecosystem, where these variables can be controlled. The project uses an ESP32 as the control unit, and for monitoring the greenhouse, several sensors are used to acquire data, including temperature and humidity sensor model DHT22, light sensor model GY-30, sensor model MH-Z14A, air quality sensor model MQ-135, as well as limit switches. The system will also have a series of actuators, including peristaltic pumps and coolers. The environmental variables will be sent to a MySQL database,
and viewed in a GRAFANA dashboard. Future studies will be held to verify if the developed system will be able to reduce costs of investments in agricultural automation, and if the project con provide economical sustainability to small producers. | |
