Resíduos sólidos: trabalho de reciclagem com crianças no município de Sobradinho/RS

Abstract

The goal of this study is to provide situations in which children understand recycling paper´s importance to the environment and know the diversity of materials that can be reused, thus reducing solid waste production in Sobradinho, RS city and the importance of recycling as a form of sustainability that aims to reuse discarded materials and considered as waste. The methodology used is qualitative with inputs bibliographic that can possible to the field study. Then the author can realize a paper recycling workshops with children at the Reference Center for Social Assistance - CRÁS Nascer do Sol, located in Sobradinho, RS. The intervention was carried four meetings, in which from the experience of the recycling of the paper, the children could understand how it is possible to contribute with the preservation of the environment through recycling practices. The present study gives situations in which children can understand the importance of recycling to the environment and know the diversity of materials that can be reused, thus reducing the production of solid waste in Sobradinho, RS including the environmental impacts caused by the accumulation of waste solids. The field research provides the author to talk about the theory and practice, thus providing the children with a series of knowledge about the subject that resulted in a significant work of producing recycled papers, as a way of reusing this material. The study enabled to the children concluded that recycling can significantly reduce the production of solid waste in our daily lives.
