Concepção e construção de uma bancada de ensaios de desgaste em helicoide de transportadores helicoidais utilizados na movimentação de grãos

In a country where agriculture is one of the pillars of the economy, grain production is essen-tial for the maintenance of the sector. Therefore, the agricultural sector has been growing in recent years both in grain production, considering peanuts, soybeans, corn, beans, rice and wheat, and in static storage capacity for products. Such growth is accompanied by the devel-opment of static capacity, which is directly related to post-harvest products, such as silos, dry-ers, mug elevators, conveyor belts, furnaces, chupi, aeration systems, screw conveyors, among others. A company in the region of Santa Maria – RS, which develops equipment for this segment, has as one of its main problems the wear of its screw conveyors due to the fur-rowing promoted by the grain on the screw. Thus, the objective of this work is to carry out the conception and construction of a test bench for abrasive wear in helicoidal conveyors, and to guide the experiments through the direction of sensors and parameters to be monitored on the bench. For this, a literature review was carried out on helical conveyors, transported products and factors that influence wear. A product design methodology was adopted and consists of defining the product layout, the list of components, the list of materials, the project details, the digital bench press, the description of the manufacturing and assembly processes, the bench's physical mocape, the technical specifications and a manual for using the equipment. As a re-sult, the design and construction of the experimental bench was developed, as well as the def-inition of the helicoid test bodies, the three-dimensional modeling, the technical drawings for fabrication and assembly, and sensors and measuring instruments for monitoring the main parameters influencing wear. The designed bench will be useful for the development of future works, mainly in wear studies.
