dc.description.abstractThe proposed article aims to analyze the use of digital media and its importance to the process of knowledge construction. Multiplication activities were developed using digital media. The activities were applied with the students of third year of Municipal School Malaquias Pinheiro. Some classes were given about the fundamental facts using the traditional method (working with blackboard and drinking straw) and digital activities, built with assistance from the Hot Potatoes software. Finally, a questionnaire was applied to determine which teaching method was more meaningful and easier to acquire knowledge. The results presented demonstrated that the use of educational software has emerged as an attractive and interesting way for the student learn and achieve the proposed objectives.
