dc.description.abstractThis work aims to report the musical trajectory of Robert Fripp and Brian Eno, with the pourpose of describing their composicional process when they were working together and also the use os music technology in service of their compositions using the technique developed in 1972 called Frippertronics, wich fuses the music recording technology at the time with electric guitar, a traditional instrument used in rock ‘n’ roll, a musical style wich both Fripp end Eno previoulsy worked with. The formation of such style is and also the musical history behind both musicians are told, specifically their experiences in rock bands and what led them to work together in the first place. The sources that were used range from music history books, booklets from albuns, journalistic articles, interviews and videos. Lastly, a brief correlation is made between Frippertronics and more recent musical works that use some of the techniques established by Fripp and Eno.
