dc.description.abstractIn this work we present a didactic sequence that deals with the theme: condition of the existence of a triangle, focusing on flowcharts. To this end, a research on the topic was carried out in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), followed by an appreciation of legal documents, Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), Referencial Curricular Gaúcho (RCG), Documento Orientador Curricular de Santa Maria (DOC) and Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN). To develop this research, we elaborated, applied and evaluated a didactic sequence composed of four activities in a Municipal Elementary School in the municipality of Santa Maria, in a 7th grade class, with 26 students. The use of flowcharts proved to be easy for students to understand and we believe it is a good resource in the elaboration of schemes and summaries of activities that require an order of execution. We also perceive the incentive in dialogue and in the defense of opinion that the activities provided, an issue that we believe to be fundamental in the development of our students.
