Resumen
This work presents a study on the urban arborization contained in Joana Angélica Street, in the city of Três Passos, Rio Grande do Sul. Through this, it’s sought to emphasize the importance of city planning for the present vegetation, since it can be considered of paramount importance for the well-being of the population and fauna that exist in the local. The search starts from a single street of the municipality, with an extension of approximately four hundred and fifty meters, but it’s implied that it can be carried out in any others. For this, we analyzed the arboreal individuals contained in the delimited stretch, in the period of June 2018. For the accomplishment of the diagnosis were observed characteristics such as height, diameter at breast height, phytosanitary, pruning and irregular cuts and, also, the incompatibility with public services such as wiring of the electricity and telephone network, structure of the sidewalks, disproportionate beds, garbage cans, entrance of garages and parking lots. Charts and graphs were developed for a better understanding of the content. Based on the data listed, it was verified the conformity of the provision and conditions with the standards and standards obtained through the Municipal Department of Environment. The results diagnosed, from the analysis, demonstrated the great need to use environmental education resources to provide greater knowledge to the population. An educational primer was then devised and developed, which will serve as a basis for correct afforestation. It is concluded that, despite numerous efforts made by the population and the Municipal Department of the Environment, there is still a great deal of carelessness and failures in urban afforestation, which ultimately damages the entire ecosystem. Measures need to be imposed and properly monitored, not to mention the spread of knowledge through lectures, seminars and events that effectively involve the resident population.
