dc.description.abstractThis study discusses the history of Picada Café/RS in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, by analyzing a collection of letters published in Germany, written by German immigrants that came live in Picada Café/RS. In addition, is also being considered for analysis, the historical collection located in the Jorge Kuhn Municipal Historic Park. The study objects cited above are source options of research the historical, social and economic context of Picada Café/RS in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The analysis of this material confirms that there are important materials that must be preserved and housed in a safe and appropriate local, highlighting the need for deployment of a historical archive in Picada Café/RS.
