The current environmental and economic scenarios around the world oblige the continuous search of process optimization in organizations. In the food and beverage industries, any gain in productivity means increased production volumes. In the industrial cleaning processes clean- in-place (CIP), there often resources use beyond what is necessary, generating waste. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the economic impacts of reducing the duration the intermediate rinse stage of a beverage industry's CIP process. Follow-ups of the CIP process step were carried out in six beverage storage tanks, analyzing the pH behavior and electrical conductivity over duration time. Combining the data collected in the field research, as well as the information provided by the industry, a future scenario was proposed. The results showed reduced water consumption, more time for production, and a positive significant financial impact. This study concludes the technical feasibility of applying the proposed improvements, presenting financial and environmental positive results for the studied industry.
