Communicating is a natural aspect of human life, it is a way of transmitting ideas, information and also of having relationships with others. However, there are many people affected by physical, intellectual or sensory limitations which restrict their communication. That is the case of People with Special Needs (PSN) who need accessibility resources such as audiovisual descriptions, subtitles and the Libras window to make their communication effective. That being said, the issue in this study encompasses the importance of communication accessibility for PSN through which the right to information and communication is guaranteed. The aim is to analyze how the communication accessibility resources are used in two audiovisual products, the Programa Especial (Special Program) and the Na Rota da Acessibilidade (On The Route To Accessibility). A case study was used as research methodology, bringing bibliographical research, explanatory analyses and the semi structured interview as a method and technique. It became noticeable that the Libras window and subtitles are the resources being used the most in an adequate manner, but there are issues to be worked on. Thus, we conclude that communication accessibility needs more research encompassing the spread of and the reflexion on the issue on an academic scope that results in professional practices. The inclusion of People with Special Needs through communication accessibility aids the creation of a fairer, more inclusive and diversified society.
