dc.description.abstractThis work whose objective was to understand the role of spirituality in school and in personal life was outlined from the question: To what extent does spirituality help students' behavior in school and in personal life? Specifically, we sought to conceptualize the terms Spirituality and Religion; present tools to work on the development of spirituality through Religious Education classes; point out the main concepts and benefits that the school and the community will have with the insertion of the development of spirituality in daily life. The justification focused on the need to have greater knowledge of human value, empathy, alterity and thus, inspire students in individual transformation, and consequently, social transformation, through a pedagogy with more spiritualized values as an integral part of this new walk. To support and validate the data collection, a qualitative, exploratory, descriptive and observational research methodology was used, complemented by a narrative, where the opinion and trajectory on the role of spirituality in personal life and at school were requested, with the participation of two people of different beliefs. The results pointed to the need for a broader study on the relationship between Spirituality and students' behavior and people's lives. Final considerations mark the importance of this study as a support for Religious Education to collaborate with the development of spiritual aspects in the school context considering the different religious perceptions, as well as in society.
