Mídias digitais e utilização de tecnologias móveis na educação da geração Z

Digital media are fully inserted into the daily activities of the generation Z, this
generation, made up of people that were born from the 2000s on; they are also
known as digital natives (GABRIEL, 2013). For the use of these media in the
classroom, it is necessary to be addressed and analyzed the possibilities of work by
the teachers in a deep and transformative way, until the point of drawing up new
teaching methodologies. This way, the study investigated the use of mobile devices
and digital media at the Educational Center SETREM – Três de Maio, in order to
identify possible parameters of teaching learning processes of generation Z in this
context. Throughout a qualitative and quantitative research aimed to comprehension
of the organizational situation in the classroom environment, being related to the
application of digital media, with this procedure it was adopted the case study,
which was carried out a questionnaire in which the resulting data were analyzed. It
was concluded that digital technology are present in the classroom and it should
rather be used for education and the teacher is no longer the holder of knowledge,
but rather, a mediated connector with research and new knowledge.
