Resumen
This text aims to point out and understand the concepts of teaching and learning
from the teaching practice developed for the piano in the Music Education Degree
at the Music School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte
(EMUFRN), via the Harmonic Instrument class in Piano. Besides the study of
such concepts, there will be an explanation on how the methodology of collective
learning is done within the Harmonic Instrument class in Piano, along with my
personal experience in the class, making a practical list of knowledge that has
been acquired and the practice of piano performance in the professional context in
which I work. The structure of this research will be through the collection and
analysis of pedagogical practices used in the exercise of this discipline, as well as
the generated results, which characterize it as a qualitative research , although also
present quantitative traits. The universe of this research consists of eighteen (18)
students and two (02) professors involved in the class in question, and data
collection occurred through the application of a questionnaire, with the group of
students, and a semistructured interview with teachers.
