dc.description.abstractThe creation of Commercialization Centers at strategic points has been an initiative of the Government through the project “Governo Cidadão” in order to create environments that provide the sale of food items through its direct producers, giving opportunity for family farming; developed by residents' associations from different regions be sustainable. It is noteworthy that the implementation of the centers in commercial rural areas does not only affect the economic environment; but it will create an environment of urban social interaction (sociability), besides giving rise to a symbol of architecture and regional life for its inhabitants, generating a form of belonging, aimed at meeting the needs of its users. To this end, the proposed work aims to develop a preliminary study of a Commercialization Center for small producers of Seridó of RN, related to the traditional architecture of the region which is rich in food production. Based on this, the specific objectives were set, which ensured a well-developed project to the local reality and within the norms, being consulted the resolutions of SUVISA; the Master Plan and NBR of the city of Jucurutu (universe of study of this project); as well as the study and application of aspects of architecture for commercial purposes; contents related to buildings in the Northeast and regional building elements, resulting in a preliminary work with structured solutions, justified and reflecting a project belonging to the place, the landscape and the people who will use the space, that is the relevance of our research.
