Specifically, the business development of the hotel companies has had greater growth over time, which translates into greater efforts by small and medium enterprises to survive in their life cycle facing the difficult economic conditions of the country and the large amount of competition in it through strategic plans that allow its further development.
The objective of this study is to establish the level of strategic planning appropriation that SMEs belonging to the hotel sector of the city of Bogotá have, based on the study of relevant elements, through: the identification of the relevant elements of the process of strategic planning from a bibliographic review, for the subsequent creation and adaptation of a tool for measuring the level of appropriation of PE to execute in this sector, together with the analysis of each established element and its behavior in the sector. This objective was fulfilled from a mixed study, not probabilistic for convenience, with a descriptive scope, involving the collection of data from a field work carried out on the established sample.
