Resumen
This research sought to understand the conflicts and forms of violence that occur at El Minuto School in Buenos Aires, in the city of Bogotá. I was interested in focusing on the school as a context that has been entrusted with the task of forming human beings in various areas, including the demand to form citizens for coexistence and why not, for peace. In it, situations such as conflict and violence are a reality to a thousand voices, quite addressed in recent years from scientific research, not only in Colombia but worldwide. However, the academic community needs to take a greater interest in this problem in peripheral and vulnerable areas, such as Ciudad Bolivar in Bogotá, where many of the social problems are perhaps most evident. In this research process, conflict is understood as an element inherent to human nature, which takes place in the processes of interaction of individuals and which implies a negative influence on others, divergent interests, opposing goals or incompatible ideas, which are indispensable for the growth of people and society, as long as it is understood as a tool for social transformation. School violence, on the other hand, is understood in this study as the interaction between two or more members of the school institution that is characterized by the use and abuse of power or force against the other.
