In this paper we investigated and analyzed the practices that influence the retention of personnel, carried out by the telecommunications company of ETB, to the employees of the sales area and the installation distribution area, in order to understand the phenomenon of the turnover of personnel evidenced in the year 2018. The instrument designed for the investigation, was a questionnaire with 7 dimensions and three variables for each dimension, with type of Likert response, which allowed analyzing the following practices: Work safety, Equipment Self-managed, Hiring, Training, Compensation policies, Labor gaps and Sharing information. A non-probabilistic and convenience sampling was carried out giving a total of 113 employees, 56 from the sales area and 57 from the installation distribution area. The instrument had 100% valid responses with a confidence level of 85.7% according to Cronbach coefficient. A descriptive and multivariate analysis of the canonical correlational type was carried out to understand the weak and strong practices from the point of view of the employees in relation to the retention of personnel.
