| dc.description | La farmacia de hospital es una unidad de apoyo clínico y terapéutico cuyo fin es contribuir al uso racional de los medicamentos. Esto lo hace a través de los servicios farmacéuticos, los cuales corresponden a un conjunto de funciones y actividades que forman parte de la atención al paciente; y que mediante el uso eficiente y seguro de los medicamentos tienen como objetivo final mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes del establecimiento hospitalario y la comunidad. El internado hospitalario se presenta como la oportunidad para aplicar los conocimientos obtenidos durante la carrera de química y farmacia, y adquirir las habilidades y destrezas necesarias para insertarse en el área laboral. El internado consistió en la pasantía por las diversas secciones del servicio de farmacia del hospital San José perteneciente al Servicio de Salud Metropolitano Norte. En ellas se llevaron a cabo los servicios farmacéuticos de: gestión de medicamentos, dispensación de medicamentos, información de medicamentos, información y educación a pacientes, y elaboración de productos farmacéuticos. Se analizó el funcionamiento del servicio de farmacia y las normativas que lo regían; se realizó dispensación de medicamentos a pacientes hospitalizados, ambulatorios y del servicio de urgencia; se dio respuesta a las consultas provenientes desde diversos servicios clínicos y de otros profesionales de la salud; se entrevistó y llevó a cabo una sesión informativa-educativa a pacientes con hipertensión arterial; y se elaboraron nutriciones parenterales y preparados no estériles. El internado ofrece al alumno de química y farmacia la posibilidad de conocer la labor que desempeña el químico farmacéutico en la farmacia hospitalaria e interactuar con otros profesionales de la salud, fortaleciendo sus conocimientos académicos que le permitirán en su futuro laboral un buen desempeño en beneficio del paciente. | |
| dc.description | The hospital pharmacy is a therapeutic and clinical unit of support whose objective is to contribute to the rational use of medicines. It does it through the pharmaceutical services, which correspond to a group of functions and activities that form part of the attention to patients; by means of the sure and efficient use of medicines in order to improve the quality of life of the patients. The hospital internship is the opportunity to apply the knowledge obtained during the studies of pharmacy, and to acquire the abilities and necessary dexterities to be inserted in the labour area. The internship consisted of the permanence in the diverse sections of the service of pharmacy of the hospital San José belonging to Servicio Salud Metropolitano Norte. The student participated in the pharmaceutical services of: management of medicines, dispensation of medicines, information of medicines, information and education to patients, and elaboration of pharmaceutical products. The operation of the service of pharmacy was analyzed and the regulations that governed it; dispensation of medicines was carried out to hospitalized patients, out - patients and of the service of urgency; answer was given to consultations from diverse clinical services and of other health professionals; an informative-educational session to patients with arterial hypertension was carried out; and the manufacture of parenteral nutrition and non-sterile products. The intership offers to the student of pharmacy the possibility to get to know the work performed by the pharmacist in the hospital pharmacy and to interact with other health professionals, fortifying its academic knowledge that will permit in the future a good performance in benefit of the patient. | |
