El sentido del amor en la etapa de la juventud.

Abstract

This research is mainly interested in identifying the interpretations and meanings constructed on love and love relationships in two young people in the city of Bogotá, who constitute a relationship in pairs with each other, understanding this affiliation as a fundamental aspect in the life of the human being and its development from the humanist point of view. This is how the choice of the interpretative-phenomenological paradigm is considered coherent, which allows the interpretation of the meanings attributed to social phenomena taking into account the subjectivity of each individual and the hermeneutic epistemology that makes it possible to interpret and recognize the milestones experienced by the individual and how they give them meaning. The collection of information is carried out through in-depth interviews, where at first (1) it is carried out with each of the participants individually (2) and then both participants meet for a group interview. These interventions are analyzed taking into account three a priori categories: meanings of love, meanings of love relationships, youth and love, plus nine emergent categories in which it was identified that the category of experiences of their relationship was the one that had the greatest presence in the participants' stories. It is concluded that for the participants their own experience is in charge of providing and contributing to the construction of meanings, where it is recognized that the satisfaction of needs enables the encounter with themselves as well as favoring the path towards self-realization and meaning of life.
