“La Marquesa de Yolombo: It is a didactic proposal of literary reading for young people of cycle IV (eighth grade) "It is a proposal that seeks to vindicate the role of historical novels in the reading plans of educational institutions, specifically in secondary education. It proposes a didactic alternative based on the analysis of historical literary works such as the novel La Marquesa de Yolombó (1926) by the Colombian author Tomas Carrasquilla (1858 -1940). This study is based on a qualitative research to the extent that pretend to understand and analyze the contribution of the historical novel in literary reading and reading comprehension in teaching and learning processes promoted in the reading plans of educational institutions Tabora IED located in the 10th Engativá Locality and Fabio Lozano Simonelli of the 5th Usme Locality
