Resumen
Motivation has been one of the objects of study of psychology, since the presence of this component is immersed in all áreas where the human being is active. The present research work focussed on studying academic motivation, from the theory of self-determination of Deci and Ryan, since there is an interest in understanding the carious phenomena that there training processes in higher education and more during the pandemic, therefore, the present work animed to determine what type of academic motivation presents the university students tinked to universities in the city of Villavicencio in times of covid-19. This work consisted of a type of descriptive / cross-sectional study of non-experimental design, the sample consisted of 115 university students from the city of Villavicencio; who of mesuring academic motivation. It was concluded that students present similar levels terms of MI and ME.
