Herramientas para mejorar procesos de ordenamiento territorial participativos a través de uso y apropiación de sistemas de información geográfica Caso: Barrancabermeja 2002 - 2019

Abstract

The goal of this work is to analyze the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their influence on the processes of participatory planning in the territorial ordering of Commune 7 of Barrancabermeja, the approach was carried out with a case study where the population and their rights were analyzed to participate in the planning processes that were carried out within the District 7 of Barrancabermeja. In the analysis of this participation process, this research addressed the use and appropriation of GIS as tools in the process of construction of the Barrancabermeja POT and the strengthening of local governance in light of the relationships between the sectors that participate in the scenarios posed through participatory planning tools and participatory GIS. The document was structured with an initial chapter that collects the state of the art with theoretical-practical discussions of governance, participatory planning and the use of geographic information systems for territorial planning. Additionally, it includes the methodology, the results of the research, a chapter for discussion and analysis and, finally, the conclusions of the research.
