Resumen
Crime is nothing else, that actions of free will that are committed against individuals or properties that cause a criminal sanction for the perpetrator and the fragmentation of socioeconomic relations. For the population with their own identity, such as the LGBTIQ+, crimes are committed for prejudice, the so-called hate crimes. However, statistical production is insufficient to study this phenomenon, Colombia is no exception. This work evaluated the crimes committed against individuals with diverse identities in Bogotá, based on the 2020 Citizen Security and Coexistence Survey, the data alone did not make it possible to determine whether the declared crimes referred to hate crimes. For this reason, field work (interviews) was carried out, where it was possible to show that socioeconomic and cultural factors are determining factors for the victims, in turn, the scenarios for these crimes range from home, work and the same social environment, in most events, the perpetrator is close to the victim.
