Resumen
The purpose of the present graduate work was to understand the mental representations of attachment of a caregiver, and their influence on the relationship established with the children who are in a care institution. The research had a qualitative methodology, specifically taking up the case study methodology. The work of degree counted on a unique participant, that works in the care of children in situation of vulnerability; the information was collected through the complete application and without any modification of the Adult Attachment Evaluation Questionnaire (Cartes: Modèles Individuels de Relation -CAMIR) and an in-depth interview, with the purpose of recognizing these mental representations. Subsequently, the transcription of the interview was carried out to then perform an analysis and interpretation by category, following the approaches of the hermeneutics proposed by Ricoeur. The results obtained by the CAMIR showed that the participant has a secure attachment type, the qualitative results were developed environments to three foci of interpretation that in general terms show that the mother of the participant is a determinant of the mental representations that she has, while the father is biased giving place to the presence of a paternal symbolic figure (God) in his story, finally, it was concluded that the presence of caregivers during childhood contributed to the configuration of the mental representations that the participant has and permeate their role as caregiver.
